Information on zip files

A zip file is used to archive and compress larger files in order to more easily distribute them over the Internet.

PC Users:
The standard archiving software for PC is Winzip. If you do not have WinZip installed on your computer you can download a free trial version from: http://www.winzip.com/

Mac Users:
The standard archiving software for Mac is StuffIt. If you do not have StuffIt installed on your computer you can download a free trial version from: http://www.stuffit.com/win/expander/index.html

Once you have downloaded and installed the software onto your computer you will be able to access the sample resource. To do this simply double-click on the zip icon.

If you are familiar with archive software then follow the prompts to extract the files and save them to a new folder on your computer. If you are not familiar with archive software you may find the Wizard help function useful.
